My slogan for this year is: No Limits. I've chosen this as a result of having watched the Olympics and seen how ordinary people have shown incredible motivation, courage, dedication and skill to achieve their goals. It has also been prompted by learning what challenges and directions former pupils have taken which were not obvious when I knew them so many years ago. The final catalyst has been the Nike advert which visually sums up what it's all about.

- Excitement and anticipation was the name of the game at a foggy Guernsey airport as our Commonwealth athletes headed off for one of the most important fortnights of their lives. They left behind an appreciative group of youngsters some of whom now nurtured the ambition to one day follow in their footsteps.
