divergentlearner.typepad.com > There Be Sea Monsters Here!

Year 6 seems to bring out the blood thirsty tendencies in pupils; or perhaps they were not really describing sea monsters but thinking about their teachers!! Pupils were shown a selection of Kenning poems and challenged to identify rules for the common features. Then they were asked to use the form to describe sea monsters. This was also linked to an introduction to the use of Word, how to alter fonts and text, create borders, lighten pictures and make text boxes transparent. I think the results are stunning.
